No room at the McCormick Hyatt, so chose the Swissotel. I found the hotel very comfortable. Check out - requested 1:15 PM to allow me to finish the meeting that brought me to Chicago. Anthony, a morning supervisor was "cold" and "insensitive" when informing me that my request could not be accommodated. Paige confirmed this an hour later but with sensitivity and appreciation of my circumstances. Same response but his was a true negative.

​I opted into the "Skip the Clean" program at Swissôtel Chicago, declining housekeeping for four days to receive the promised $10 daily food credit. ​Despite following all instructions, the hotel refused to honor the $40 total credit at checkout, offering only excuses. It is frustrating to see a major hotel promote a "green" initiative and then fail to deliver the incentive. Very poor service and lack of transparency. Avoid this program—they don't follow through.

We were there 4 nights and had a wonderful experience, great food, excellent views, easy to access highways and perfect location with a nice view of the lake.

Rooms are extremely dated and overall stay felt very average. No smart TV (have only a few channels to choose from), bathroom was small and in desperate need of renovation— the shower head was installed facing the awkwardly positioned shower door which meant absolutely soaking the floor throughout the entirety of the shower and soaking yourself when trying to turn the shower on. There was no way to reposition the shower head to avoid this. Went through so many towels just to prevent puddles while showering. Additionally, we had some leftovers from a restaurant in our room and wanted to eat them, asked the bar for cutlery and he wanted to charge us for the disposable cutlery/napkin package since we weren’t buying food from them. Since when will a hotel not provide their guests a fork for free??? Let alone a “nice” hotel. There are so many hotel options in Chicago, go somewhere else
