Excellent

Swissotel is located perfectly in the heart of the CBD, right next to Pitt St mall and a 10 minute walk, if that, to Darling Harbour. The room was large and spacious as was the bathroom which included stand alone shower and bath. The rooms however are dated and could use a freshen up. The 2 lift system is less than ideal and there is a wait for them. The concierge were friendly and helpful. The receptionists were polite but not overly friendly, and I had to ask them to repeat themselves as I could not hear over the amount of noise coming from the bar area. The room service food and drink are ridiculously overpriced, especially because the food is so basic. Uber eats would have been a cheaper option and had more variety. There is no mini bar options in the room which I find strange. When checking out I paid my in room charges and then moved on as quickly as possible as they were busy, but later requested an invoice as it seemed a lot. When I received the invoice I had been charged $90 for valet parking and then $100 for offsite parking. When I emailed back and said I was never informed of this $100 off site fee, just that it was $90 for valet parking, the hotel replied back to inform that I would be refunded for the off site charge. Overall the stay was fine, but the hotel is not as nice as you would expect for a 5 star and the amount you are charged, there are other hotels in the area that are nicer and cheaper with a better experience

Some staff were a tad abrupt and the foldaway bed (which I didn’t realise was being used) was extremely uncomfortable - time to up date it I think ! Location was fantastic, dining options okay. Thank you

This was a brief 1 night stay to get specific shopping done in the CBD. The hotel location was perfect and parking good as I used the valet. The renovation to the lobby and bar area is stunning and the reception from the team, valet area + checkin was great, cheerful and welcoming. The room was great (I got an upgrade) and very comfortable with lots of space. Service was good throughout. Dining was interesting (more later in the comments). but all in all it was a great quick stay.
