The room was excellent. Large, comfortable bed ( great nights sleep) and the best roomy bathroom and toilet. Shower roomy and easy to use. A minor issue was an empty soap dispenser on the wash basin. Breakfast variety was excellent, but when we were there, ( 7.30 am) it was a bit noisy and crowded. The bar gave us great service for a drink and light meal efore the theatre. Our gold status wasvrecognised. This hotel is a bit expensive, but worth the extra if you can afford it.

We arrived and then had to sit in the foyer for 1 1/2 hours until our room was ready at 4.30pm. We had already driven 5 hours to get there; we had to keep going up to the desk to find out what was going on as we never received the phone call as promised when our room was ready. I will be writing a separate review on the dreadful meal we had that night which was to celebrate our 39th wedding anniversary. We felt very let down. Our last night we tried to get room service and had trouble getting though on the phone and the app even tried ringing the outside line, all to no avail then had to go down to the foyer and put in our food request which I had written out. When our salad arrived 1 hour later, my small bottle of wine was on the plate, but my husband's Guinness was missing and the servers said it was not on the order. The room and the staff were great, but I have serious doubts of ever coming back again.

Wonderful 1 night city stay with my Mum and daughters for their Birthday. Service was fabulous, rooms were spacious, breakfast plentiful and just a lovely stay. Location was the winner, especially for little legs 😊

Overall dissatisfied with my stay over the weekend at the Swissotel. Where do I start?! The accommodation is very tired and bathrooms in need of a refresh! Be prepared to wait 20 mins at the elevators each time you need to take them. Be prepared to go up just so you can get a space on the extremely overcrowded lifts which don’t seem sufficient to service all the floors and guests. Pool is lovely but gets very overcrowded with limited spaces for guests to sit or lounge. House keeping don’t replace pool towels frequently and when I went, there were none there. I politely asked the day spa staff if they were able to ask house keeping for me to which one of them replied “ask someone else”. How rude! I also requested a twin share option to which I was quoted $40 to upgrade (not even sure how this is an upgrade as to me this is a bedding request…) but I accepted as was travelling with a friend. I was not given an updated itinerary and so my app total was still reflecting the incorrect amount. I then was surprised when the hotel decided to charge me $40/night for the twin share bedding. That was not what I agreed to. But by that point I was too exhausted to argue with their staff who just didn’t have basic customer service skills. Wouldn’t stay again. Very disappointed.
