We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. We found that the team made it very pleasant from the check in to the check out.

Location and room condition are to be expected of a good hotel. But the overall experience is short of being a positive one due to the sales tactics employed. I selected "high floor and Bayview" option during my booking, but during check-in, I was told it's for "partial Bayview" only. And to get a "full" Bayview, I need to top up additional money for each night of my stay. I was literally held to ransom with my family in tow and eagerly looking forward to the trip. Of course I had to pay for the "upgrade". It's not about the money, if this was quoted when I made the booking, I would've paid for it. But rather the sales tactics engaged by the hotel which disgusts me. Makes me feel like I'm being scammed. Now I know "Bayview" can mean "partial" or as the staff explained "half Bayview, half city view". Maybe next time, I'll ask for "2/3 Bayview and 1/3 city view". I wonder if the price will be in-between. If you refer to the photos in the Booking. Com app, the view is exactly that of what I saw in the "full Bayview" room which I had to "upgrade" to. You are a respectable and wellknown hotel, there's no need to stoop to such level just to squeeze a few dollars out of your guests. I've stayed in other hotels in the vicinity and the "Bayview" doesn't lose out to yours and I did not experience such treatment as well. Guess I better take my business with me somewhere else.

Dear Swissotel Raffles City Team, I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding an incident involving one of your staff members, Lauren, that occurred on 28th November 2024 at 5:10 PM in your lounge. My family and I were denied entry to the lounge by Lauren, despite being informed by the receptionist at the lobby that my six-year-old son could enter. While I respect any policies in place regarding lounge access, my concern lies with the inconsistent treatment and the manner in which this situation was handled. After denying my family entry, Lauren allowed another family with three children, including one breastfeeding infant, to remain in the lounge. When I questioned this inconsistency, her response was dismissive, saying, “I’m asking them to leave too.” Such remarks are not only unprofessional but also left my family feeling unwelcome and embarrassed. Not to mentioned, the family stayed even after I have left, while the mother was also breastfeeding in the lounge. If children are not allowed in the lounge, I believe this rule should be applied consistently to all guests. Additionally, guests should be gently reminded of the policy, rather than being abruptly asked to leave. As a loyal guest with privileges at your hotel, I am extremely disappointed by this experience and expect a fair and respectful resolution. I kindly request your team to address this issue and ensure better training or communication with staff to prevent such incidents in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
