We like the hotel very much. It was comfortable (we booked a more spacious room )with easy access to lots of food options and shopping. The only set back for us is thinking that the Namba OCAT is within walking distance to the hotel. Either I misread it on your website, otherwise it should be amended to advising guests to take a taxi from there instead. If I had known how complicated a walk it was and not mentioning with luggages, we would have booked a car transfer as we have always done. Not a good start to our stay

Just a simple train ride linking Kansai Airport directly to Swissotel Nankai Osaka makes the Hotel a natural choice for my stay in Osaka. The overwhelming warm hospitality displayed by the staff, in particular MJ, Tya and Sarah from the Executive Lounge, makes this a home away from home.

1. The check-in staff is not friendly and did not explain the hidden fees or provide any statement for us to review. 2. The toilet and shower area did not in separate section which is a big minus for this “5-star” hotel. 3. The hotel is old with dirty carpet. 4. Not children friendly as the hotel did not provide children amenities despite its five star status. 5. The breakfast is nothing impressive with limited choice and the only good point is the view only. Didn’t meet any expectations for the price we paid!

Thank you very much for hosting us during our recent stay. As a Platinum member, we enjoyed many aspects of the hotel and appreciate the upgrade benefits. Below is our detailed feedback to help you continue improving the guest experience. Positive highlights Upgraded Advantage Room (room 03) for the first three nights: very spacious, plenty of room for luggage, and the two double beds combined into one large bed provided an excellent sleeping experience. Suite (after Suite Night Upgrade): nice separate sitting/dining area and better bed quality (though the bed was smaller). Breakfast on the 36th-floor restaurant tasted good. Swimming pool was quiet and pleasant. Areas for improvement Bathroom amenities (comb) The front desk informed us a comb was provided, but there was none in the room and it was never replenished by housekeeping. We eventually had to request one in person—this was the first time we’ve experienced this in any hotel. In-room drinks information Other drinks besides mineral water had no price list and were not explained at check-in. We only learned they were complimentary on checkout day. Suite vs Advantage Room We actually preferred the Advantage Room overall because it had a larger bed, a concealed/rain shower, and a magnified makeup/shaving mirror—none of which were available in the suite. Breakfast restaurant (36th floor) Good taste overall, but relatively few hot dishes. More variety or rotation would be appreciated. Executive Lounge Morning hours overlap with breakfast, so as tourists we usually went out and couldn’t use it. At 19:15 one evening, most food was already cleared and staff were packing up despite some food still remaining and closing time not yet reached. After breakfast (around noon), only drinks and very light snacks were available. Extending simple drinks + snacks service until 22:00 (no need for a full spread) would make the lounge much more useful for Platinum guests. In-room television YouTube and Netflix functions were completely disabled (we have our own subscriptions), which was very disappointing. The TV guide and facility information (especially opening hours of pool, lounge, gym, etc.) were also unclear and could be more user-friendly. In-room refrigerator & lack of self-service laundry/kitchenette Compared to Mercure Tokyu Stay Osaka Namba (where rooms include a washing machine, induction cooker, microwave, and large refrigerator), we really missed these facilities here. In particular, the refrigerator in both the Advantage Room and the suite was not cold enough, and we could not find any temperature control button—an adjustment here would be helpful.
