it took over 40 minutes to retrieve my car from valet parking Sat morning at 5 a.m. Checking in on Friday was hectic and delayed. Your staff was not friendly and supportive at check in or check out or with valet.

The gentleman trying to help me check in was very rude. I guess you need to have status with the hotel to get so to speak nicer to you.

Ms. Melissa was helpful in providing an upgrade and seeing to our needs even before we arrived at Swisshotel Chicago. It was more than what I expected but felt very appreciated as a member of ALL.

The hotel is beautiful and exceptionally clean, with comfortable bedding and a lovely touch in each room, including its own doorbell. The riverfront views are excellent, and the location is ideal, within walking distance of shopping, restaurants, and The Yard. Unfortunately, that's where the excitement ended for me. The in-room amenities and overall comfort level were disappointing and not what I expected upon entering the room. It felt more like a budget hotel than a luxury property. In fact, I have stayed at Hyatt House and Hotel Indigo properties that left a stronger impression. Given the cost of the stay, I expected higher-quality bath products, as well as complimentary robes and slippers. Even the hair dryer was underwhelming, with the Conair model barely functioning. The room featured a generously sized bathtub, but there were no bath salts, bubble bath, oils, or other enhancements to help guests enjoy the amenity. The in-room dining menu was quite basic, and the coffee was disappointing. On a positive note, the staff were lovely, professional, and welcoming throughout my stay. Overall, the property has many strengths and significant potential, but there is room for improvement in the guest experience and amenities. While I appreciated the location, cleanliness, and service, I would not be likely to stay again given the price point and the value offered.
