We travelled to Sydney to see a show at the Royal Theatre. We booked a suite to make the trip feel like a special occasion. The whole experience from check-in until check-out was first rate.

The room is outdated, shower/bathroom from the 80's. The food (Room service) quality is not good and pricey. For example I order a steack medium rate , it arrived fully cooked and it's a very slim piece of meat. not worth $50. it takes forever to front desk or room service to pick the phone, can barely hear on the phone (the phone also is very old, no speaker that make waiting more comfortable) And front desk is not helping, I asked for a late check out to 1pm (nothing fancy, especially with my All accor status) and I had to literally negotiate to get 12:30... and my room card was deactivated, so I had to go back to front desk at 12 to request to reactivate my card. no excuse, nothing just handing me the card. Also as Accor Gold I'm suppose to get a "welcome drink" it was never offered to me (it's not that I care about it, it's the principal of offering things based on status but not providing) Well despite being well located for my purpose, it's not worth the price/experience

concierge forgot to send the airport pick up - we missed all our meetings on our first day in sydney due to the delay. No acknowledgement from the hotel manager on this terrible oversight. Check-in queues were ridiculous. Room service food was slop.

The location is fantastic, large rooms and warm welcoming concierge team. Check in staff not as friendly. The rooms are tired and dated, especially the bathrooms. Happy Hour is not really happy hour. Staff in the restaurant bar area some were really friendly and polite, others were expressionless and disinterested.
