The stay was great the apartment is very spacious and there are 2 bathrooms and 1 extra toilet for the 2 bedrooms. We did find that the cutlery was being taken by the cleaning staff each day instead of being cleaned and left there it was not being replaced. Even when we asked for it we didnt get much back just a couple of spoons as communication was an issue aswell. Generally the staff were very friendly and accommodating and the hotels lobby was kept pristine and clean. It wasn't made clear on the listing that we had access to a washing machine in the apartment (which didnt work properly as you couldn't press the buttons) and an iron and ironing board. We expected to pay £40 when we reached on check in as this was what was told to us by hotels.com but the hotel informed us that this charge was wrong and for a 2 bedroom apartment its actually an extra £80 that is owed. This is a tourism tax that was charged by the country to tourists. The breakfast was a nice selection but this did not change much during our 10 night stay. The location is in the old part of Dubai, it is a nice atmosphere and generally there are discounts shops walking distance and a metro line across the road. This hotel is connected to Al Ghurair mall which also has a nice selection of shops and a supermarket. We used a taxi majority of our stay as for 5 people it worked out cheaper than the public transport.

While the location was good and the rooms are spacious, the services aren’t that great, we didn’t have hot water in the room 2 nights out of 3, and after multiple complaints they tried on the 2nt night at 11.45pm to fix it. The requests also take too long or need multiple follow ups. Other than that, it was okay

The cleanliness was simply not up to standard. Our primary housekeeper, Abdullahi, failed to do even the bare minimum. He consistently left the toilet floors wet and did not make the beds. Every basic request became a struggle, and we regularly had to call reception just to get the apartment hoovered. The only saving grace was a female housekeeper who covered his day off and did a significantly better job. During our stay, the water in the master bedroom toilet turned a disgusting yellow color. Management informed us the hot water tank needed replacement. Instead of offering to move our family to a clean, functioning room, they chose to perform heavy maintenance while we were in the apartment with our children. They broke the toilet wall, replaced the tank, patched the wall, and painted it right in front of us. This was incredibly disruptive and unprofessional. he spacious rooms and convenient location do not make up for the lack of basic cleanliness and poor management decisions during a maintenance emergency. We will not be returning.
