Green nice territory for walks, amazing breakfast, really nice for short stay. Spa - small and super crowded swimming pool and sauna/steam room, no relaxing vibes at all , more into children water area vs relax zone.

If you are in Almaty, the best place undoubtedly is Swissotel. It's a beautiful and most stunning resort without a doubt, spread over a few kilometers, with a golf course, lake, woods, tennis courts, basketball court, small soccer field, gym, sauna, steam, spa and a huge combination of pools with interesting aspects where you can spend hours and if course great restaurants and bars with great food and attentive service. You can actually spend a couple of days just being there relaxing. This was my 2nd visit to this property in the last 6 months and is in my itenary once every year to experience Almaty and Swissotel. Prior to this I have stayed I have stayed twice in another top brand of the world, but believe me, there is nothing better than Swissotel. My stay at the hotel once again was truly exceptional! The atmosphere is relaxing, elegant, and filled with genuine hospitality. Every detail — from the welcoming smiles at reception to the peaceful ambience of the thermal area — shows how much care goes into every guest’s experience. A special mention to Manager Karina, who did her job with excellence and professionalism. I called up the hotel from India for check in formalities and Karina organised it for me and my friends in a flash. She is always on top of everything, ensuring every guest feels special and well taken care of. Her attention to detail and warm attitude perfectly represent the spirit of this hotel. The whole team deserves praise for creating such a wonderful and memorable atmosphere. This place is a true gem and a MUST stay

The main issue is that the hotel is old, badly renovated and very worn out. The rooms are not cleaned properly, the carpets in the common areas are dirty, the service in the restaurants is very bad. It is not a 5 star hotel, so it would be best to downgrade it to 3 or 4 stars and clients would no longer expect 5 star services and amenities.
