In the past we have stayed at the Swissotel and thoroughly enjoyed our experience, however our most recent stay we were left very disappointed. On arriving we learnt that one lift was out of service, we understood this was out of managements control and at times hotel staff would control the 2 operational lifts to ensure efficiency. This did not happen for long though and it was complete chaos! We were staying on the top floor and would have to wait a minimum of 15 minutes for a lift, and often when it got there it was filled with if people that got in on the way up to ensure they didn’t miss out on the way down. As Platinum members we enjoyed access to the executive lounge but were very disappointed that not only that children were present there was very little parent supervision, they were running through the lounge, being loud and were constantly in the food area hindering access for other guests. I strongly believe this area should be a no children area or at the very least, under parent supervision with no access to the buffet.

Our stay was extremely satisfying. Whilst the restaurant was being refurbished the new location was brilliant. Staff in kitchen seemed to be more attentive as the food stayed hot enough to eat unlike regularly being cold in actual dining room

Quite a few let downs. There were renovations we weren’t warned about before our stay - a warning / discount should be offered. This affected the elevator wait times, waiting 20 mins+ at times. Also, the breakfast was in the ball room, with long wait on eggs due to the makeshift nature. The minibar wasn’t filled either. Positives is the hotel was clean, food for room service was fast, fresh and tasty. Once all renovations are complete I would like to stay again.

We chose the hotel because it was easily accessible by public transport and opposite the theatre we were seeing a show at. The room and the facilities were all beautiful. The only downside was that we got an upgrade through accor but the staff neglected to tell us that we had Executive Club access (I only found out when i checked my invoice after checking out) and the staff member checking told us breakfast wasn't included in our room and tried to get us to add breakfast to our stay. This is very poor customer service.

Our stay at the Swiss was booked in advance & there was no notification that the hotel was under renovation. I received emails asking to upgrade our stay but no notification that the hotel was under renovation. It’s ok to have renovations, but that should come with awareness. The lift situation was terrible especially Saturday. After check-in where we were advised of the situation, we went to our room, dumped the bags at left the room. We waited for 20+ mins for a lift. My husband had to go back to the room, again waited 20+ mins. The hotel was at full capacity & the manual operator didn’t not help. The pool area is definitely not big enough for a fully booked hotel either - not enough deck space or staff. We actually through there was a bar area but there wasn’t. As there wasn’t enough tables we could order anything. The pool area was poorly serviced not clean as there piles of used towels, plates & glasses left everywhere - I have photos. On Saturday afternoon we went to the pool area & there were no towels.. we called twice, along with other guests. Overall disappointed.
