Check is was drawn out and tedious with the receptionist labouring every point. Everything else great.

This is the second time I have booked this hotel. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. There is a problem with the lifts. This hotel has 369 guest rooms and only 2 lifts are operating. This creates long delays during breakfast and checkout times as well as other times during the day. There is a third lift, but this has not been in operation for some time. I find the doonas too heavy for this time of year and it is difficult to change the air conditioning setting. At Reception there is a roped off section for those with All-Accor membership that states the checkin will be quicker. This is a waste of time as most guests have this membership. I had an experience where another guest basically push in and the receptionist served them when others had been waiting for some time in this particular membership line. The receptionist had no idea what was happening in front of the desk. I also had a water leak in the bathroom and was very quickly moved to another room on the same floor which was greatly appreciated.

Enjoyed a one night stay to take advantage of the Hotel’s location to the State theatre. We were very impressed by our stay. The reception staff were welcoming the room was inviting and met our needs for a comfortable sleep The shower was excellent We also enjoyed a delicious dinner in Ten Stories Would have scored a 10 however we were slightly disappointed when the bar had closed on our return from the show 10:30 on a Friday night seemed a bit early but overall our stay was excellent

On the evening of our arrival we noticed that we had only 1 bath towel and no bath mat. There were other small signs that the room had not been properly prepared. It made us concerned that it may not have been cleaned thoroughly. It took 45 minutes for the towels to be delivered. On complaining at the registration desk next morning no apology was received from the young, and clearly inexperienced, receptionist. We stayed two nights and after the second room service we did not get replacement face washers. Not satisfactory service from a 5 star hotel!
