We didn’t get offered an upgrade despite being a platinum member -cited the hotel was fully booked. This is in contrast when staying at Pullman Makkah on the last 10 days of Ramadan we were upgraded to a deluxe 2br studio with Haram view (I was only a Gold then). We did however receive an early check around 2pm which is much appreciated. We moved from Swissotel al Maqam and we found the buffet food is pretty much the same, very nice with lots of options. The staff didn’t clear up the tables fast enough during iftar/sahoor time, hard to find a clean one. The standard room we stayed in was very clean and well maintained, The bathroom has a glass sliding door rather than a curtain, keeps the water away from splashing. Going to Haram is easy through the mall or the side entrance of Swissotel Makkah but we prefer the side entrance of Al Maqam and head towards gate 84, less crowds and shops to go through. We asked for a 3pm check out and we received 2pm instead Alhamdulillah. Also, would be good if there’s more place to sit in the lobby. Too many people, not enough seats.

This was our first time at Swissotel Makkah and we really loved every bit of our experience!! I stayed with my mother and sister for 7 nights and everything from service, comfort, staff, cleanliness, food and location were all perfect! The breakfast was extremely well organized and nourishing. The dinner was so delicious and had wonderful variety and quality ingredients, especially the desserts section! At check-in, the hospitality of Fawaz was remarkable! He gave us the best welcome and arranged for us the best room that suits my mother's special needs. We received welcome drinks. We kept getting greeted and cared for by all the hotel staff wheresoever we met them in the lobby, elevators, and hallways of the hotel who kept asking what we wanted just to get it ASAP for us. We even randomly met one of the staff members (Turki) who sent us welcome desserts, dates and coffee to our room without us asking for anything. I am surprised that I am only at silver tier on All Accor, but still received all this generosity. I regularly visit 5-star hotels and receive high quality services, but this hotel exceeded the high standards I've see elsewhere. Swissotel Makkah are really doing a wonderful job making us visitors of Makkah focus on praying and worshipping and nothing else. May Allah rewards every person who makes this hotel what it is. We cannot iterate enough our gratitude for the hotel and we highly recommend it to everyone! We will be back again and again inshallah.

I had one of the most memorable stays in Makkah. From the very beginning, Mr. Rayan truly made my day with a smooth and welcoming check-in experience that set the tone for the rest of my visit. The view was simply breathtaking — overlooking the whole of Makkah in a way that made every moment feel special. The room was extremely clean, spacious, and thoughtfully prepared, offering both comfort and tranquility. The buffet featured an impressively wide variety of options, clearly reflecting the extra effort and dedication of both the operations team and the kitchen staff to cater to such large numbers with excellence. Accessibility was outstanding — with seamless access to and from the mall, as well as convenient connectivity to the Makkah Haram side, making the entire stay even more comfortable and stress-free. A truly exceptional experience that I will always remember.

We arrived earlier than normal check-in time but the staff at the reception did not made a fuss and gave us the room straight away. Overall the stay was very comfortable along with the room amenities

I wish they had the same room longer , unfortunately it was unavailable and couldn’t book it any longer! The best stay of this year!
