I tried to check-in at 7pm and was told me room was not ready. I then ate dinner at the hotel and 45 minutes later went to the front desk to check on the status and was told it was not still not ready. I had to ask them to call the cleaning service desk, then was told it was going to be 30 minutes to an hour wait longer. At this point it was ~8pm. I asked if there was any room available and was told no there was not. Five minutes after being told that the assistant manager told me I was getting a free upgrade to a suite. I appreciate the upgrade, but all I wanted was a bed at that point. I was disappointed I was told there were not rooms, when there were...that I had to ask them to give me a time when it will be ready....but most importantly check-in was around 4pm and I was checking in at 7pm, 3 hours after my room was supposed to be ready.

I have stayed at Swissotel many times, and always enjoy it. The only issue I had this stay was a failed elevator, which required this old man to walk up a flight of stairs to get an elevator - twice. I greatly miss both the sauna and the members' special lounge!
