Lovely connecting rooms. Breakfast was lacking as my son is allergic to gluten and dairy. A very small gluten free section in the Clove restaurant. Only oat milk available to use, you have to request soy from a staff member. The gluten free section had 1 sliced bread option which was hard and tasteless (toasting was only option) chocolate cereal, a small hard biscuit and a brioche. No other bread or cereal options. No dairy free butter (the manager said no one had asked for this before) no dairy free yoghurts. For 2026 in a major city and a big hotel this is unbelievable. We were told the Asian food market restaurant offered exactly the same food (except this restaurant had halal food) although on being sent there the second morning we discovered this wasn’t the case. No gluten free section at all, no dairy free milks ( we were told that we could have some in 5-10 mins so they were obviously getting it from the other restaurant. When complaining a staff member told me that no allergy offering was down to the fact that they are a halal restaurant! This made me so angry for the complete lack of knowledge. Halal is nothing to do with gluten or dairy free items! All staff should have knowledge as a basic requirement! After leaving this restaurant and asking for a table at the clove and complaining to manager again the manager (Shan) who I had spoken to day before could see my annoyance. We were sent a lovey staff member called Amshyar, he was much more knowledgeable and got the chef to make dairy and gluten free pancakes. I asked why we weren’t introduced on the first day and Amshyar apologised and said the manager was not very experienced. The Stamford really need to up their game on this. I would not return due to this.

My stay at the hotel was perfect all around, from the high quality suite to the amazing service in the lounge. Then I had an emergency incident with my son, who got an allergic reaction to some seafood he ate a few hours earlier, and the manager and staff were so helpful in bringing up a wheelchair, calling a taxi for us, and helping us get to the hospital. I will forever be grateful for their help.
