Our 7-day stay at Swissôtel The Stamford Singapore was a deeply disappointing experience. For a hotel of this reputation and price range, we expected a much higher standard of hospitality, cleanliness, service, and guest care. Unfortunately, throughout our stay, we experienced several issues that made the entire trip unnecessarily stressful and uncomfortable. The service was far below what we expected from a supposedly premium hotel. Requests were not handled promptly, communication with staff was frustrating, and there was very little sense that guest satisfaction was genuinely a priority. When you are staying for 7 days, these problems become even more noticeable. Instead of feeling comfortable and well looked after, we repeatedly had to follow up and deal with issues that should have been handled by the hotel in the first place. The biggest disappointment was the lack of accountability and empathy when we raised our concerns. For the amount we paid, we expected professional service and a willingness to resolve problems—not excuses or an experience that left us feeling ignored. The location may be convenient, but a good location cannot compensate for poor service and an overall disappointing guest experience. For a 7-day stay, this was nowhere close to the standard we expected. Based on our experience, we would not choose this hotel again and would be very hesitant to recommend it to others, especially families planning a longer stay. A premium hotel should provide premium service. Unfortunately, our experience at Swissôtel The Stamford Singapore fell well short of that expectation.
