We have been coming to the Swissotel Stamford Singapore for approximately, 20 years and have never been disappointed. The rooms and facilities are great and the staff friendly, professional and attentive.

I emailed ahead and let the team know that we were arriving super early. We arrived at 7:30am, and as a gold and Accor explorer did hope to be cheeky and get an early check in. It wasn’t to be, which is ok, and was told to come back at 3pm. And this is where it got peculiar. We came back at 3, and were told our rooms wouldn’t be ready for another hour. For an unknown reason, after arriving at 7:30am, the hotel decided to not allocate any rooms at the scheduled 3pm check in time. And thats after saying we didn’t need to be on the same floor. Rooms were magically found, and we were told that we needed to visit clove for breakfast as Asian Market Cafe was fully booked. The next morning we went to clove and were told it was fully booked and to go to Asian market cafe. We were also told the people at that breakfast place could help us make a booking for clove the next day. After walking past very many empty tables, we went to Asian market cafe - and they told us we could walk up to clove in the morning. I went to reception that same day and asked how to book. I was told that we didn’t need to - and that we definitely could go to clove. So you can imagine my surprise when the next day we went to Clove and were again turned away and refused entry. It would have made much more sense if someone said at check-in there was an exclusive event on. And if all your staff were briefed on it. What’s more, you may wish to consider allocating these events to the atrium or other areas - so that people can take advantage of the venues promised with booking. Part of the reason we wanted to go to Clove was because of strong positive memories of my kids from our last visit. Instead, the memories were mired in constant incorrect information, confusion, and effort. Literally the only saving grace was the cleaner, Kim, who made the extra effort to be kind. Your hotel is not cheap - but the current system is not working. The level of customer service provided does not appear to warrant the price tag - and I’m supposed to get a few extra bits as a gold member.

Loved the room and the team was very detailed with their daily cleaning service. V polite and friendly. Check in and out was a breeze including bell boy service. Can’t fault at all. My only comment is email response from hotel is a little slow and when I wanted to offer dining feedback, I was advised to email which I did but no response to date. Other than this, my stay at the hotel was great 😊
