Great Location, Very Clean rooms along with staff who make sure their guests are comfortable and taken care of. Eduardo was a standout for myself and he was a pleasure to have as a concierge. Would book again the next time I’m coming to Amsterdam, 100%.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel overall; however, there were two points that I did not appreciate: 1. The room was not up to expectations. The furniture was quite old, and despite my Diamond status, I was unfortunately unable to receive an upgrade. 2. I was also unable to obtain a late checkout. I discussed this with Mr. Rob at the reception and only requested an additional 15 minutes, as I needed to leave at 1:15 PM and asked to extend until 1:30 PM. He completely refused the request without consideration.

The room was very hot and the advertised air conditioning is seasonal and hadn’t been turned on yet. We were told to open the window and had two fans circulating air. There were many pigeons outside our room, some landing on our window sill so we closed the window. We never received housekeeping service. On our first day we returned to the hotel after 4 pm and put the do not disturb on. On the second day we asked the housekeeper to clean our room as we left the hotel in the morning and he was 8n the hallway right outside our room. It hadn’t been cleaned when we returned mid day so we asked again at the front desk and left for lunch. When we returned at 3 pm it still hadn’t been done so we gave up and had a nap. We ran out of toilet paper and tissue and the garbage cans were full (they were very small). For over 350 euros a night I think this is unacceptable. At checkout no one asked how our stay was and when I mentioned the lack of housekeeping service the agent just shrugged her shoulders. I know we had the do not disturb sign on but it was never on until late in the day, after the time we saw housekeeping staff on the floor. I used to be an executive housekeeper so I know how the system works. We ended up getting a roll of toilet paper from the front desk. Substandard service from staff who didn’t seem to care about guests and were generally disinterested. The breakfast waiter was the terrible - no greeting, shrugging his shoulders when he sat us at a table with dirty cutlery, then complaining loudly about hotel management to another staff member. I try to stay in Accor brand hotels when I can as I have had great experiences in the past. This stay is one I wish I could forget - I won’t be back and I won’t be recommending the hotel to anyone.
