It was very good and the staff at the lounge made it even better with accommodating us a group of 11 in the lounge every day

The hotel was quite nice and well located. We did not need housekeeping but we did ask for extra towels and toilet paper brought to the room, which both arrived promptly. We had a late arrival and the power in the room we were assigned did not work initially. We had to go to the front desk a couple times at 11:00pm, one to try a "white card" due to the new system and once again to get a concierge to come up with us to see what was wrong with the power. He confirmed it was not working and just blew on the card reader for it to work. Apparently dust can get on the reader and stop the power from working, a tip that could have saved us a couple trips down to front desk. We also called for room service on the night of our arrival since nothing else was open. After waiting an hour for our food, we called back and learned there was a "miscommunication" due to room service being "busy". They had forgotten our order. We were very hungry after our long flight. After reminding room service of our order it arrived 30 minutes later. The late night room service team sounds like they need to work on their communication/organization. Also the elevators were extremely slow. One appears to have been broken and the elevators would stop on every floor in spite being full. Perhaps an upgraded system or lowering the weight the elevator needs to be in order to skip floors could speed up the elevators.

Really enjoyed my stay here. I appreciated the upgrade, and the location right in the heart of the shopping area was incredibly convenient. Even though it’s central, my high-floor room was peaceful and comfortable, making for a great night’s rest. The breakfast spread was also very good with plenty of choice.

FIX YOUR LIFTS - It’s a matter of SAFETY! I’ve stayed for 4 yrs running at Xmas time for work (they book us) and every year at least 1 lift is out of action. With that amount of guests during that period it is VITAL for a more efficient lift system. This year 2 were out of action on a few days causing mayhem. People not being picked up on their floor because solo lift full to capacity. Unacceptable and completely dangerous should there be an emergency. I waited 20 mins one day and a cleaner ended up taking me down the service lift. FIX THEM or be reported! Also your check in system takes too long! It should be MUCH quicker…every year slow and drawn out.

A family night stay for the theatre and some shopping this hotel has a great location for right in the middle of the shops and across the road for state theatre. Pulling up is always a little stressful as it’s a busy street recommend paying for valet as it’s then their problem. Breakfast is wonderful and food in Archie’s restaurant was great. The only negative our room was small double beds which I’m not used too so didn’t sleep well my husband or myself the beds when in a two bed room should be queen
