We have visited Swissotel several times. The hotel is generally in good condition but lacks the feel of five-star rating in service. There wasn’t a door man welcoming guests and the room wasn’t ready on arrival despite I had informed the hotel our arrival time ahead and I’m a Gold member. No special recognition of status at check-in. Spa was full of loud guests. Would have appreciated if staff had asked them to calm down. Breakfast had wide selection but the quality of food could have been better. The eggs station was super slow. The lady cooking omelettes informed that the waiting time is about 30-35 minutes. Totally unacceptable for breakfast. A welcome amenity was brought to us only in the evening after I asked for it. The cake we received was a lovely gesture but customers shouldn’t have need to ask for their benefits.

Cleanliness and high-quality service. Great view from the window. Good breakfast. However, the furniture in the room was rather worn. The upholstered furniture was heavily stained. There were stains on the duvet cover. The steam sauna wasn't working, so we didn't go to the bathhouse.

Upon arrival the booked room was not yet ready to which the receptionist tried to sell us a more expensive room. That was some way confusing as we just wanted our room ready. We found the receptionist hard to understand. 45 mins later we asked again for our room and we finally got it. Breakfast service was excellent however the server coffee was really bitter. Our room on 16th had beautiful views of the waterways to the harbour and also the city. Room was well kept and very clear throughout our stay.

Room was ok. I was very satisfied with tee and coffee making facilities but there was promlen in TV channels. Almost all channels were pixelated randomly. I experienced same in January.
