Overall a very pleasant stay at the Swissotel Tallinn. Room was very pleasant, breakfast was amazing and the hotel overall very nice.

Luxury facilities but very poor customer service. The main problem was the fully booked breakfast service. There appeared to be a shortage of 4–5 waiters, and as a result we never received coffee at our table. The coffee machines often stopped working because no one had time to empty them, which also caused long queues. In addition, the staff seemed exhausted and unresponsive. The communication felt abrupt — similar to a “command style” — for example, announcing that the restaurant was closing in an unfriendly manner. This behaviour seemed to be the result of heavy workload and understaffing. The spa staff had a similar attitude: skeptical, overly critical, and too assertive. Overall, this is a 5-star hotel with 2-star customer service, largely due to poor resourcing and cost-cutting.
