ZURICH, Aug 2011

There’s no overestimating the value of a good night’s sleep, and in keeping with this, Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts is now offering a personal service that lets each guest to choose the pillow that is just right for them. Guests can select their personal favourite from the wide range of pillows on the à la carte pillow menu, for a deep, restful and relaxing sleep even away from home.

The Swiss Pine pillow gives off a soothing scent of resin and reduces night-time perspiration around the head and neck, while the heat-regulating cotton-covered spelt pillow, filled with 1400g of organic spelt, eases tension in the back and neck. The neck-support pillow offers optimal pressure distribution - supporting neck, head and shoulders and features thermocontrolling. While these three pillows are available in all Swissôtels, some hotels add even more variety to the selection. There is an anti-allergenic pillow made of 100% polyester designed especially for allergy and asthma sufferers, and for guests who like to sleep on their side, a body cuddler pillow which supports the head and takes the strain off the spine is offered. Mattress toppers for an extra soft sleeping surface are also available, as are typical local pillows depending on the country.

The guest’s choice of pillow is delivered to the room straight away by the hotel’s housekeeping staff, and some pillow types are also available for purchase online at Swissôtel’s user-friendly online shop (www.swissotelathome.com), so guests can enjoy an equally restful sleep at home.
