What do Inizia, Elevà and Zenit mean?

In Switzerland we have four official languages – and one of these is Romansh, the language of the craggy eastern Alps, where Swiss tourism was born and the mountains reflect the challenges of daily life. We have chosen three Romansh words to symbolise our Swiss tradition and your progression up the mountain.

 

Inizia: The journey starts here. As soon as you have stayed with us for just five nights, you will already have qualified for Swissotel Circle Inizia status for life.

 

Elevà: If you stay with us just a little bit longer, you’ll have made it to a higher elevation. You will be welcomed to the Elevà tier after completing 20 nights within a 12-month period. At this level, you will enjoy preferential treatment and select benefits at our hotels worldwide. Membership for Elevà status is subject to renewal every 24 months.

 

Zenit: Only a select few reach the very top of Swissotel Circle and on the way to the summit, you’ll have spent 60 nights in at least two Swissotel Hotels & Resorts within one year. As a Zenit member you will benefit from an even wider range of privileges and awards. Zenit status is subject to renewal every 24 months.

How do I enrol as a Swissotel Circle member?

You can sign-up for Swissotel Circle membership in two ways:

1. Online at www.swissotelcircle.com . Simply click on “Join Now” and fill out the form with all your details. You will become a Swissotel Circle Inizia member immediately

2. When staying at a Swissotel: Ask the colleagues at the front desk to enrol you into the programme. You will receive a confirmation of enrolment to Swissotel Circle Inizia soon after.

Is the Swissotel Circle membership transferable?
Swissotel Circle is an individual guest recognition programme and is not transferable.
When do I get my Swissotel Circle Inizia card?
After initial enrolment, you will only be issued an online Inizia membership card sent via email. To qualify for lifetime Inizia membership, you will need at least five or more qualified room nights at any Swissotel Hotels & Resorts within a 12 month period after the effective enrolment date. Upon conversion, you will be issued a plastic Inizia membership card without expiry date. Please make sure your address is properly filled in on your profile.
How do I qualify for Swissotel Circle Elevà membership?
Swissotel Circle Elevà membership is by invitation only and is extended to members who have stayed with Swissotel Hotels & Resorts at least 20 qualified room nights within a 12-month period. The membership is valid for two years from the date of upgrade.
What is the re-qualification requirement for Swissotel Circle Elevà membership?
Swissotel Circle Elevà members will need to stay at least 20 qualified room nights at Swissotel Hotels & Resorts in a 12-month period, within the two years of the Elevà membership validity in order to re-qualify for Swissotel Circle Elevà status.
How do I qualify for Swissotel Circle Zenit membership?
Swissotel Circle Zenit membership is by invitation only and is extended to members who have stayed at least 60 qualified room nights in at least two Swissotel Hotels & Resorts within a 12-month period. The membership is valid for two years from the date of upgrade.
What is the re-qualification requirement for Swissotel Circle Zenit membership?
Swissotel Circle Zenit members will need to stay at least 60 qualified room nights in at least two Swissotel Hotels & Resorts in a 12-month period, within the two years of the Zenit membership validity in order to re-qualify for Swissotel Circle Zenit status.

What is considered a qualified room night at Swissotel Hotels & Resorts?
To receive room night credit, the reservation must be booked on a qualifying rate. Travel-industry rates (including, but not limited to airline crew rates, travel agent rates and tour group escort rates) will not be considered qualifying rates towards member status. Also, complimentary or barter room stays or any stays booked through third party online channels (including but not limited to Priceline.com, Hotels.com, Lastminute.com and Expedia.com) are considered as not qualifying and will not be eligible for credit. How do I request a missing stay?
Should we have forgotten to record one of your stays in our database, you can request this stay to be added to your records, up to two years after the stay date (as long as you were already a member of Swissotel Circle at the time of the stay). To do so, please have your hotel invoice ready, sign-in to your profile, go to My Stay History and click on Request Correction
Can I get credit for multiple rooms?
Only the room occupied by the member will be counted as room night credit towards the member’s status. If you book rooms for other people, why not ask them to enrol as well, so they can also be part of our circle.
Where can I get details on the “black-out” or Restricted Dates?
Even though we always try our best, in some instances we will not be able to ensure the 48-hours guaranteed room availability, mostly because of an expected very high occupancy (for example, a large international sport event in the city). What is an Advantage Award?
Awards are issued based on room night accumulated from your program start date and will be calculated based on 12-month periods.
Unless you have opted-out to receive communication from Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts, you will be notified regularly by email of any accrued Awards.

For every five room-nights transacted at qualifying rates, members who have been awarded the lifetime Inizia membership and Elevà members will be issued an Advantage Award. Each Advantage Award entitles the member to one of the following:
• A complimentary room upgrade for 2 consecutive nights during one stay, or
• 2 complimentary breakfasts per stay (either 1 breakfast for 2 people or two breakfasts for one person)
• A maximum of four Advantage Awards will be issued in a 12 month period. 
What is a Premier Award?

Awards are issued based on the room nights accumulated from your upgrade date into a qualifying award tier and will be calculated based on 12-month periods.

 

For every 10 room-nights transacted at qualifying rates, members who have been awarded Elevà or Zenit status will receive a Premier Award. Each Premier Award entitles the member to one of the following:

• A complimentary room at any Swissotel worldwide, or

• A three-course dinner for two people with a bottle of House wine in any participating Swissotel restaurants, or in-room dining options.

• A maximum of four Premier Awards will be issued in a 12 month period.

What is a Zenit Award?

Awards are issued based on the room nights accumulated from your upgrade date into a qualifying award tier and will be calculated based on 12-month periods.

 

For every 20 room-nights transacted by a Zenit member at qualifying rates, they will receive a Zenit Award. Each Zenit Award entitles the member to the following:
• A complimentary weekend stay in a suite at any Swissotel hotel worldwide

I am Zenit member, why don’t I get Advantage Awards?
Simply put: Because you do not need them anymore. If you have made it to Zenit, then all the benefits an Advantage Award can bring you are already included in your earned benefits.

I never get emails from Swissotel Circle about exclusive member-only offers, special invitation-only events and updates. Why?

We strive to send you the most relevant promotions and special offers.

To make sure we can reach you:

• Allow Swissotel Circle to contact you by e-mail. To do this, make sure you check the box at the bottom of the Address Information field in your personal profile

• Check your e-mail address on your personal online profile to make sure we have your latest address

• Add our e-mail address to your “Safe Sender” list in your e-mail system, to make sure our e-mail doesn’t end-up in your Junk E-mail folder

• Should you have unsubscribed from Swissotel Hotels & Resorts communication by mistake, you can reverse this process by sending a short e-mail to circle@swissotel.com

 

By the way, Swissotel Circle does not sell or share its members’ email addresses with anyone.

So, your privacy is protected.

How do I redeem my Awards?
Swissôtel Circle members can redeem their Awards by contacting the hotels directly for reservations. For a list of all our hotels worldwide and their contact details, please click HERE
I enrolled at a Swissotel. How do I activate my membership?
To activate the membership, you will need to visit the Swissotel Circle website and click on “Activate Account”, then use your membership number provided in the welcome e-mail and your date of birth. Create a password and a login, and it’s done.

How do I apply for a replacement card if I have lost my card?

That’s not so funny, but we are here to help. You can log on to Swissotel Circle home page and click on “Contact Us” to request for a replacement card. You can expect to receive a new card in 6 to 8 weeks time.

 

You can also ask one of our colleagues at the front desk of any Swissotel and they will order one for you.

What happens if my name is imprinted incorrectly on the membership card?

Oops. We sure have a Passion for Perfection, but this can happen. Should this be the case, then please log on to Swissotel Circle home page and click on “Contact Us” to request for a replacement card. You can expect to receive the new card in 6 to 8 weeks time.
