The World Travel Awards is widely regarded as the ultimate accolade for the travel and hospitality industry. Founded in 1993, the World Travel Awards has been described by the Wall Street Journal as the 'Oscars' of the travel and tourism industry, and the foremost recognition and acknowledgement of excellence in products and services worldwide. An estimated 185,000 industry professionals from travel agencies, tour and transport companies and tourism organisations from all around the world participated in the voting process that determined the winners.
