Pierre Botteron joined Swissôtel in 2000 as Director of Human Resources & Training at Swissôtel The Howard in London. Thereafter, he moved on to Swissôtel Krasnye Holmy in Moscow, where he supported the hotel in its pre-opening and opening phases.
Pierre played an active role in introducing various projects - from team members' engagement to new training initiatives, at both the hotel and corporate levels. During this time, Pierre was also a task force member in the pre-opening of Swissôtel Nai Lert Park, Bangkok and provided HR & training support to Swissôtel Nankai, Osaka.
As Vice President of Human Resources for Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts, Pierre works closely with the company’s President in defining the brand's people and development strategy. He also works closely with the hotels' Directors of Human Resources & Training in implementing HR programmes and initiatives.
Prior to joining Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts, Pierre held different levels of management positions mainly focusing on HR and Finance with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in various countries in Africa and Central Asia.
A graduate of Ecole Hôtèliere de Lausanne (Switzerland), he studied International hospitality management. Pierre recently obtained a MSc in “Coaching and Consulting for Change” from HEC Paris, a program delivered jointly with Oxford University, Saïd Business school.
