Julian van den Bogaerde was appointed Regional Vice President, China, Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts in March 2009, in addition to his role as General Manager of Swissôtel Grand, Shanghai. Prior to his appointment in Shanghai, he was based in the head office of Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts in Zurich as General Manager. During this time, he provided support to various properties around the world, in particular to Swissôtel Ankara and Swissôtel Grand Efes, Izmir, where he led the pre-opening team.
Julian van den Bogaerde joined Swissôtel Hotels and Resorts as Executive Assistant Manager in 2003 where he was part of the team that successfully rebranded Swissôtel Nai Lert Park, Bangkok. Subsequently in 2005, he was appointed General Manager of Swissôtel Amsterdam. Before starting with Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts, he was Vice President Food & Beverage with Raffles International Limited from 1999 – 2003. His career history also includes various Food & Beverage management positions with The Regent in Bangkok and Sydney, Four Seasons in Vancouver, and The Savoy in London.
